D Bar

Styled on the little bars that are dotted around the Lower-East Side of New York City, D Bar is a new addition the Sydney Bar/Restaurant Scene. Designed by Sydney based architecture firm Luchetti Krelle the fit-out is features raw materials: exposed brick, exposed ceilings, hardwood bench tops, copper bar tops, exposed copper piping and an enzie classic spiral stair.

To fit the client brief all steelwork was finished in Raw Blackened Steel and left raw. This method allows all the workmanship to show, welds and grinding marks add to the character and the variation in tone and texture fit perfectly against the Red Brick and copper highlights.

The stair itself, a 1300 diameter classic series, is used to access an upstairs eating area perched above the bar.
