Mark Elkan from Simatrik Design needed a creative solution to some space issues in his Abbotsford Project. The historic builder proved to be reluctance to give up enough space to comfortably fit in two staircases required to get to the upper attic space.
With some creative layout wrangling we came up with a special Landing and Balcony Railing combination which allowed access to the mid level and onto a second stair which lead to the attic space above.
Customised plywood overlays were made to match other timberwork in the project. We were very impressed with the plywood treads as it suited the design aesthetic of the builder perfectly.
